Glossary
The terms, in plain language.
Policy, curriculum and technology jargon comes up fast in school conversations. Here's what the acronyms actually mean.

- CBME
- Competency-Based Medical Education — and, more broadly, competency-based education: assessing what a learner can actually do, not just what they can recall.

- An AI tutor that can plan, ask, explain and adapt across a learning task — not a single chatbot reply — grounded in the school's curriculum and the student's language.
- .axp lab pack
- Abhigyaan's immersive lab package format — a downloadable VR experiment (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) that runs on headsets and supported devices.
- LMS
- Learning Management System — where content, assignments, assessment, analytics and the admin suite come together in one place.
- Learning Analytics
- Real-time data on how students engage and progress, surfacing who needs help and which concepts a class is struggling with.
- VR / AR / MR
- Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality — immersive technologies used to let students step inside a lesson instead of only reading about it.
- Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools
- District-council–run government schools in Maharashtra; the core of Abhigyaan's 1,300+ school public deployment.
